NOTE: Although the external capsule, claustrum, and extreme capsule are visible in Figure 2 (the sagittal section), they are a bit difficult to see; therefore, you are not responsible for them in the sagittal section. If you are burning with the desire to find these structures consult an atlas or one of the instructors, or simply be aware that they wrap around inferiorly under the putamen.
Also review the location of the other structures you’ve studied so far in this lab.
